I used flat plans to plan out my final cover that I would create on the computer. My design is sketched out so the fonts don't look exactly like I intend them to be but I have tried to show that they will be interesting and look 'young' to draw the attention of my target audience. The main flash will be underneath the title to the right with a large heading of 'Exclusive' to attract attention. The main sells are put towards the bottom of the page to be read later as people always start at the top and work there way down. This means that it is easier for the target audience to take all the imformation in and it is not too detailed because students don't tend to have very high attention spans. I have drawn a shape to represent the cover photograph which will be in the center of the page while the main flash and sells are placed around it.
The contents page in my flat plan is very simple and set out in a zig-zaggy way but still reads from left to right and up to down. the list of contents are seperatated by boxes indicating photographs that will be related to the topics. The contents wont be very long because it has more of an impact if it is big. This is why I have drawn the numbers very big so that they stand out. The contents page will appeal to the target audience because it is very clear and not too complicated.
